I've noticed that this summer has been quite beautiful, thus far. (Probably because I finally have air conditioning in my car.) And because of it's divine splendor, I have been inspired to write of such things. This is what I saw while driving home and talking on the phone with my sweetheart tonight:
Flash!
Golden etching of a black, ominous, misshapen mass.
Sinister beauty inside a lining of magnificent light.
Flash!
Dancing from one cloud to the next.
Leap after leap to rest on the other side of the sky.
Flash!
Silent and erratic, they fly above my head.
Such powerful energy hiding behind such a peaceful cloud.
Flash!
They slowly dance their way to the horizon.
Far off now, they end their show for me.
Gazing no more at the parade of lightning, I sleep.
Oh, good times... I think the sky is probably my eleventh favorite thing God made for us. Something like that.
Anyway, I think I'm going to go to sleep now. I hope you all had pleasant dreams(past tense, do to you reading this after you've slept). Now, have a great day!
